Our Mission

Since its inception in 1958, ABOTA’s primary mission has been the preservation of the right to a civil jury trial guaranteed by the 7th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Judge Stephen Czuleger Named 2025 LA ABOTA Judge of the Year

Judge Stephen Czuleger has been selected as the LA ABOTA Judge of the Year for 2025 for his commitment to fairness and the preservation of all Americans’ right to civil jury trials under the Seventh Amendment to the Constitution and a high standard of civility both in and out of the courtroom.
